Gulfport Cosmetic dentist

Cosmetic Dentistry

We offer a full range of cosmetic dentistry including porcelain veneers, for our clients in Gulfport, Biloxi, and the entire Gulf Coast. General Dentists - Robert L. Sutton, III, D.M.D. & Clyde E. Spraberry, Jr.,D.D.S.

Crowns

“Same Day Dentistry” - Using the latest technology in porcelain crowns, we are able to provide our patients with a more efficient, higher quality, and more timely procedure. With our E4D CAD/CAM system, we achieve a beautiful restoration that provides the form, fit and function that our patients deserve. Most patients no longer wear temporary crowns for a number of weeks, they actually leave the same day with their permanent porcelain crown. This means less hassle, less time away from work, and no additional charges!

Veneers

Veneers can correct many dental problems such as: worn or chipped teeth, crooked teeth, gaps between teeth, or teeth with discoloration from age or medication. The veneer is a thin porcelain or resin coating applied to the front teeth to improve shape, size and color.

Our office is fortunate to have an in-house lab with our very own porcelain and glaze technician.  This allows us to make modifications to the shade and/or fit of your permanent restoration while you wait.

Bonding

Many of our patients in Gulfport, Biloxi and on the Mississippi Gulf Coast inquire about Cosmetic Bonding. Bonding is a procedure designed to repair small defects in the teeth. Cosmetic bonding is used to repair or restore teeth that are discolored, chipped, or gapped. The material used results in a matching translucency and texture to your natural tooth.

Whitening

Zoom Teeth Whitening has become popular thanks to all of the TV “reality” shows offering cosmetic dental makeovers. We offer Zoom as well as the teeth whitening system most recently recognized in Dental Product Shopper as “Best Product 2009” - Kör Whitening Deep Bleaching™ System. Kör is a revolutionary system that delivers the whitest teeth 100% of the time. This product offers little to no sensitivity, and has proven highly effective for all patients, including those with tetracycline stains or fluorosis. While Zoom Teeth Whitening is still the product many patients ask for due to familiarity, Kör Whitening Deep Bleach™ is the revolutionary new standard that achieves the highest result of teeth whitening.

Colgate Visible White is our professional take-home whitening kit. This is a 30-minute once-daily treatment that will provide results of whiter teeth in 3 days. An appointment is required to have your custom-fit whitening trays made, and you will receive your finished trays and whitening kit 24 hours later. Maximum results are typically achieved in 7 – 10 days and require touch-up whitening as needed.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants are growing in popularity for patients who want an alternative to replacing missing teeth. An implant is actually a cylinder surgically placed in the jaw which serves as a secure anchor for the replacement tooth. The titanium material they are constructed of makes them completely compatible with the human body.

If you are interested in knowing if you are a candidate for dental implants, please inquire at your next appointment.

Root Canal Therapy

When a tooth is injured or infected, root canal therapy is a procedure to treat your natural tooth, and hopefully avoid extraction. Inside the tooth is the pulp which runs like a thread down through the root. When the pulp is diseased or injured, the tissue dies. If that pulp is not removed, the tooth will become infected, and you could lose it. With a root canal, the dentist removes the pulp, the root canal is then cleaned and sealed off to protect it. In most cases, a crown is necessary to complete the tooth restoration.

Dentures & Partials

We offer full or partial dentures for our patients who desire to replace missing teeth with a natural, artificial alternative. Please speak with one of our professionals if you would like to receive a treatment plan for such services.

Oral Hygiene

One of the most important things you can do for your teeth and gums is maintaining good oral hygiene. Healthy teeth enable you to look and feel good and they make it possible to eat and speak properly. By having good daily preventive care at home, (proper brushing & flossing), you reduce the risk of much more serious problems developing with your teeth.

You should visit your dental hygienist twice a year for your regular cleaning and exam.

Periodontics

Periodontal diseases effects the soft tissue and bone that supports the teeth and can range from simple gum inflammation to serious disease. If not treated, this can result in loss of teeth.

Tartar buildup between teeth cannot be removed by simple brushing and flossing at home. Your dentist or dental hygienist are capable of removing the tartar, and this should be done every 6 months at your dental visit. If left untreated, it could advance to gingivitis, which can further progress to periodontitis in worst cases.

Periodontitis is treated in our office by a special type of cleaning called Scaling and Root Planing. Each of our hygienists is proficient in offering this service. This will help to restore health to your gums and teeth.

Sealants

Sealants are placed on the molars and premolars of children to help protect their teeth from decay. It is a thin, tooth-colored or clear coating that is bonded to the chewing surface. This aids in keeping food and bacteria from getting into the tiny grooves in your child’s tooth by forming a hard shield of protection against decay.

This treatment should be performed by your dental hygienist as soon as the first permanent molars erupt (5 – 7 years of age), and when the second molars erupt (11 – 14 years of age). Sealants will typically last 3 – 5 years.

Scaling & Root Planing

This specialized cleaning removes plaque and tartar from beneath the gums and helps control the growth of harmful bacteria. It will allow the gums to reattach to the teeth firmly once the tooth roots are clean & smooth.

This procedure will help restore your gums and teeth to a healthy condition.

Oral Surgery

We provide oral surgery procedures including simple & surgical extractions.

Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth present potential problems when they are not aligned. This poor alignment of wisdom teeth can crowd or damage adjacent teeth, the jawbone, or nerves causing a myriad of problems. Removal of the wisdom teeth is often the best option.
